Integrated technological solutions that are good for the planet, for the people and for the economy

G-STIC is a series of conferences that aim to accelerate the development, dissemination and deployment of technological innovations that enable the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). G-STIC is focused on building knowledge bases and global expert networks to support the technological transitions that are needed for the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development.

Building on the G-STIC 2017 key findings and aiming to create synergies within and between sectors, G-STIC 2018 will focus on 3 elements:

  • Accelerate opportunities for integrated solutions
  • Introduce new and impactful integrated solutions
  • Demonstrate leadership in sustainable development

The G-STIC Conference series will be hosted jointly by VITO (the prime research and technology organisation on cleantech and sustainable development in Belgium) and its international partners ACTS (African Centre for Technology Studies), AIT (Asian Institute of Technology), FIOCRUZ (Fundação Oswaldo Cruz), IITD (Indian Institute of Technology Delhi) and TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute). The second edition of this conference series will be organised in Brussels from 28 to 30 November 2018.
