The digital transformation presents tremendous challenges and at the same time great opportunities for the raw materials sector along the entire value chain. The collection, analysis and visualization of vast quantities of data from various sources, scales of observation and over variable timeframes is integral to this transformation. As the digitalisation of the sector is progressing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) and data integration solutions are increasingly being used in innovative approaches to optimise processes, increase the accuracy and reliability of models and predictions and to speed-up and autonomize operations.
