IFAT Munich
Circular Sovereignty Forum | Joint Action for the EU Circular Economy Act
EIT RawMaterials CEO Bernd Schäfer will speak at the Circular Sovereignty Forum at IFAT Munich, where industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators come together to drive joint action on the EU Circular Economy Act.
The Circular Sovereignty Forum is a high-level platform dedicated to accelerating Europe's circular transition for critical raw materials. Hosted by Circular Republic, the Ellen McArthur Foundation, and IFAT Munich, the event brings together key stakeholders from industry, policy, and research to explore how circular strategies can reduce Europe's resource dependency and strengthen its technological sovereignty.
As geopolitical tensions place critical raw materials at the heart of Europe's industrial strategy, the forum provides a space for strategic dialogue, collaboration, and concrete action.
Panel: The Resource Backbone of Technological Sovereignty
EIT RawMaterials is contributing to the forum's dedicated panel session, focused on how strong European recycling and processing capacities can unlock new opportunities to enhance supply chain resilience and reinforce technological sovereignty — in the context of the EU Circular Economy Act and the Critical Raw Materials Act.
EIT RawMaterials CEO Bernd Schäfer will take the stage to deliver a keynote impulse, bringing EIT RawMaterials' perspective on critical materials innovation and the role of the circular economy in securing Europe's industrial future. He will also join the high-level panel alongside senior leaders from industry and policy, exploring how to scale circular value chains, close infrastructure gaps, and translate ambition into action.
