European Advanced Materials Academy

Building the skills powering Europe's next generation of innovation

Europe's Advanced Materials Skills Gap

The batteries, chips, and next-generation manufacturing Europe is racing to build all run into the same bottleneck: not enough people trained to develop, process, and scale advanced materials fast enough to keep up, at a time when three in four European employers already say they can't find candidates with the right skills. The European Advanced Materials Academy, led by EIT RawMaterials, is the EU's flagship initiative for addressing and identifying the skills gaps and clusters where there’s a demand for specific skills across the value chain in consultation with industry and academic experts. The Academy equips professionals with a curated access to industry-relevant in-demand trainings and brings together talent, industry players, academia, and policy to help bridge the gap.

Connecting Europe’s Advanced Materials Network

The Academy brings together professionals, education providers, and industry in one connected platform. Explore modular courses, trainings, and micro-credentialed learning activities, co-created with industry experts, spanning the entire value chain, designed to meet the evolving needs of Europe's advanced materials sector.
