The European Raw Materials and European Advanced Materials Academies bring together reviewed, high-quality courses on raw materials and advanced materials from learning content providers across Europe. The Academies provide these providers with a single, curated access point that reach professionals across every career stage from early-career graduates and mid-career specialists to senior engineering leaders and directors across the raw materials and advanced materials industries.
The European Raw Materials Academy focuses on skills development across the raw materials value chain, including exploration, extraction, processing, recycling, circularity, and responsible sourcing. It serves professionals, industry, SMEs, public authorities, and other stakeholders active in the sector. The Advanced Materials Academy focuses on skills for advanced materials and their industrial applications, supporting innovation, technology adoption, and the scale-up of emerging materials solutions across European industry.
The Academies draw on Europe's existing learning ecosystem, working with learning content providers across universities, Vocational Education and Training (VET) providers, research organisations, training organisations, and industry. Together, these providers form a diverse, quality-assured portfolio built to scale Academy delivery across sectors and skill levels.

What to know before you apply
Become a Learning Content Provider
A Learning Content Provider (LCP) is a university, VET provider, research institute, corporate training organisation, EdTech company, or other educational organisation that contributes learning opportunities to the Academies ecosystem. LCPs make their courses visible to learners and industry stakeholders through the Academies network and Course Catalogue.

To be eligible, your course offering must meet the following:
- At least one submitted course should include defined learning objectives and align with one of the Academies' priority thematic areas;
- At least one submitted course must issue certification only upon successful completion of a formal assessment based on the aforementioned defined learning objectives.
Learning Content Providers may wish to know that meeting the eligibility criteria confirms access to the review process; it does not guarantee acceptance of every course in your application, as each course is reviewed individually.
Participation in the Academies does not involve direct payment for joining. The primary benefits are increased visibility, European reach, access to industry networks, opportunity for collaboration, and participation in a growing European skills ecosystem.
There are no fees to join the Academies and no revenue-sharing requirements. Participation is entirely free for approved LCPs. Partners retain ownership of their content, intellectual property, learner relationships, and revenues. Participation is non-exclusive, meaning LCPs remain free to offer their courses through any other platform or delivery channel.
No, the Academies do not take a share of LCP’s revenues. LCPs maintain full ownership of their courses and any revenues generated through their learning offer.
Content, Intellectual Property, and Branding
LCPs retain ownership of their original content and intellectual property. The Academies receive the rights necessary to promote and, where agreed, distribute content according to the agreement.
Yes, LCPs are credited as the creators of their learning content and may be featured in Academy catalogues, communications, events, and promotional activities.
Yes, LCPs may request updates to keep information current and may withdraw content in accordance with the terms of the cooperation agreement.
Application and Onboarding
Interested organisations may submit an application outlining their organisation, learning offer, learning objectives, and target audience. Applications are reviewed by the Academies team for strategic fit, content relevance, and quality.

- Your application is checked for completeness, thematic alignment, and course quality
- Clarification (if necessary)
- Decision: Eligible applicants move to onboarding.
- Onboarding: The accepted LCP will then undergo an onboarding process.
The onboarding process typically includes:
- Application and qualification review
- Introductory discussion
- Agreement signing
- Content submission and review
- Technical and operational set up
- Publication in the Academy Course Catalogue
- Course launch and promotion
LCPs are welcome to do both. Many LCPs contribute training that is already offered through their own institutions or platforms, while other choose to adapt or develop new content for Academy audiences upon agreement with the Academy.
Content should be relevant to the raw materials or advanced materials value chain, demonstrate educational quality, have clearly defined learning outcomes, and comply with applicable legal and quality requirements.

Partnership Models
he Academies offer flexible partnership models that allow LCPs to participate at different levels of engagement. All LCPs are expected to sign a pledge and can choose to deepen their involvement over time, should they wish to do so.
There are two ways to work with the Academies, depending on the course.
You may host and deliver training on your own systems, which include registration, delivery, learner support, certification, and administration all stay with you. The Academies features your course in the Academies Course Catalogue and direct interested learners to your platform. This is known as the Linking Model (Standard).
Alternatively, LCPs may collaborate more closely with the Academies through content adaptation, content co-development or hosting your course on the Academies’ own LMS. These collaborations are tied to identified skills priorities or strategic initiatives. LCPs should note that these arrangements are agreed on a case-by-case basis.
It is possible for LCPs to begin the Linking Model (Standard) and later explore opportunities for deeper collaboration with the Academies.
No, hosting your course on the Academies’ LMS is optional and only used upon agreement between the Academies and the Provider. While LCPs will continue to host and deliver their courses independently, their courses will be featured on the Academy Course Catalogue.
Yes, participation is non-exclusive. LCPs retain full ownership of their content and remain free to offer courses through their own websites, learning platforms, commercial marketplaces, or other channels.
No, the Academies are designed to complement and extend the reach of existing learning offers. LCPs retain ownership of their content, intellectual property, certifications, and learner offering while gaining additional visibility and access to European audiences.
Yes, LCPs may apply for opportunities to adapt, update, localise, translate, or co-develop learning content aligned with the Acadmies’ skills priorities. Support is provided through competitive open calls and is subject to eligibility criteria, evaluation requirements, available funding, and successful selection. Funding of up to €40,000 per course may be available for approved adaptation or co-development activities.
The LCP owns and manages the learner relationship, including registration, learner communications, support, administration, course delivery, certification, and any commercial transactions. The Academy acts as a visibility and promotion channel rather than the primary delivery platform.
