EIT Community Officer in Latvia
EIT RawMaterials is seeking a qualified supplier to act as the EIT Community Officer (ECO) for the EIT Community Hub in Latvia. This role is central to strengthening the visibility and impact of the EIT Community at local, regional, and national levels.
Overview
The selected provider will serve as the main operational and coordination point for EIT Community activities in Latvia. The ECO will be responsible for implementing joint activities, engaging with diverse stakeholder groups, and fostering synergies between the nine EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) to maximize community outreach and innovation uptake.
This contract covers the period from February 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027, with a potential 12-month extension into 2028.
Objectives
The general objective is to procure professional support for the coordination and implementation of the EIT Community Hub activities in Latvia. The appointed EIT Community Officer will be the face of the EIT, serving as the operational and coordination focal point for all EIT Community activities in the country.
The key objectives for the selected supplier are to:
- Enhance the visibility and impact of the EIT Community in Latvia.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and foster collaboration among EIT KICs.
- Act as the single point of contact for EIT Community activities, offering tailored support.
- Implement a coordinated set of actions aligned with the EIT RIS Implementation Framework.
Scope of Work
The EIT Community Officer will be responsible for implementing activities across four main work packages:
Work Package 0: Administration and Coordination
- Set up and maintain an EIT-branded physical presence.
- Establish coordination mechanisms among EIT Community Hub members.
- Align with national authorities and innovation stakeholders.
- Gather and share intelligence on the local innovation ecosystem.
- Coordinate branding, communication, and information exchange.
Work Package 1: Local Community Development
- Serve as the primary entry point for local stakeholders.
- Support applications for RII and KIC calls.
- Implement outreach and communication activities.
- Engage with local intermediaries like universities and incubators.
Work Package 2: Business Development for Financial Sustainability
- Generate leads to support the financial sustainability of the RII Cluster and KICs.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, funding, and service sales.
- Facilitate investment and funding for KIC-supported startups.
Work Package 3: External Fundraising
- Identify and propose joint projects with EIT KICs and national/regional authorities.
- Scout for co-funding opportunities from EU, national, or regional programs.
- Support collaborative, cross-KIC initiatives.

- RFP Publication: December 1, 2025
- Clarification Deadline: December 10, 2025
- Submission Deadline: December 14, 2025, 16:00 CET
- Interviews: January 05-09, 2026
- Notification of Award: January 23, 2026
- Contract Signature: January 30, 2026
- Contract Implementation Start: February 01, 2026
