EIT RawMaterials invites proposals from qualified professionals or entities to serve as a Compliance Advisory and Operations Partner for its two EU-funded initiatives — the EU Raw Materials Academy (ERMAcademy) and the European Advanced Materials Academy (EAMAcademy). The selected partner will support end-to-end compliance with key digital regulations, including the EU GDPR, the upcoming EU Artificial Intelligence Act, and EU/German accessibility laws (e.g., BFSG).

This call focuses on supporting regulatory alignment with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the upcoming EU Artificial Intelligence Act, and EU/German accessibility laws (including the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG). 

About the Call

As part of their mission to provide future-ready, digitally compliant training ecosystems, the academies are seeking an experienced partner to guide and implement end-to-end compliance processes for their digital platform, launching in 2025.

The selected provider will:

  • Deliver hands-on support across GDPR, AI Act, and Accessibility (BFSG/EAA)
  • Advise on relevant adjacent regulations (e.g., Digital Services Act, NIS2, Microcredentials)
  • Build compliance roadmaps, policies, and readiness documentation
  • Ensure all platform and training operations meet regulatory and ethical standards by 1 September 2025

Objectives

The compliance partner will:

  • Review and validate an existing digital compliance checklist
  • Create a roadmap to reach full compliance in each domain
  • Execute operational tasks including assessments, policy drafting, technical fixes, and training
  • Audit content and platforms for accessibility (WCAG 2.1/2.2)
  • Ensure alignment with broader regulatory frameworks where applicable
  • Prepare a final readiness audit and handover documentation
  • Optionally provide post-launch support for continuous improvement 

Who Should Apply

We are looking for qualified legal entities or professionals with:

  • Demonstrated expertise in GDPR, AI systems governance, and EU accessibility laws
  • Experience supporting digital platforms or public/educational institutions
  • Strong understanding of EN 301 549, WCAG, and AI system risk classifications
  • Knowledge of the broader digital policy landscape, including DSA, DDG, and NIS2

What We’re Looking For

The ideal partner will:

  • Act as a managed service provider for compliance operations
  • Collaborate closely with the academy teams and third-party developers
  • Use tools, automation, and templates to streamline implementation
  • Deliver practical, user-oriented documentation tailored to our platform
  • Guide project teams in interpreting AI governance during proposal evaluation

This call does not include accreditation tasks related to EQF, ECTS, or ZFU.

Funding Details

  • Target budget: €60,000–€70,000 (for delivery by 1 September 2025)
  • Maximum budget: €219,999 (incl. VAT)
  • Post-go-live support (optional): Billed separately on time-and-material basis
  • Proposal must include: Fixed-price budget + optional daily rates
