Request for Proposals: Professional Writing Services
EIT RawMaterials is seeking two experienced freelance professional writers to support its growing Communications & Marketing activities. The collaboration will be part of a framework agreement.
About EIT RawMaterials
EIT RawMaterials is a ‘Knowledge and Innovation Communities’ (KICs) created by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), aimed at promoting innovation in the raw materials sector across Europe. Established in 2015, EIT RawMaterials works to secure the sustainable supply of raw materials to the European industry by driving innovation, education, and entrepreneurship along the entire raw materials value chain.
We inform policy, apply knowledge, accelerate innovation, create opportunity, and unlock commercial value – for our partners and customers throughout the raw materials value chain to develop the raw materials sector as a strategic strength and foundation for a secure, sustainable future for Europe.
The Communications & Marketing team produces a broad range of content supporting executive communications, media relations, marketing campaigns and editorial for stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership. We are inviting freelance professional writers to submit proposals to work with us under a framework service agreement.
Scope of Work
We are looking for two different profiles:
Commercial Copywriter
- Develop persuasive, audience-focused content for marketing campaigns, websites, events, thought leadership and other communication activities.
Social Media & Editorial Writer
Produce engaging journalistic and editorial content for social media, press releases, interviews, articles, executive communications and events.
Scope of services
- Research, writing, editing and proofreading
- Development of campaign and marketing copy
- Website and digital content
- Social media content
- Press releases and media-related content
- Articles, interviews and editorial pieces
- Executive communications and thought leadership
- Event and Summit-related content
- Adapting and repurposing content for different audiences and channels
All deliverables must be accurate, engaging, publication-ready and aligned with EIT RawMaterials' communication objectives, brand and editorial requirements.
What you need to offer
- Proven experience in professional writing, copywriting, journalism and/or editorial content
- Excellent written English
- Strong research, writing and editing skills
- Ability to adapt content to different audiences and channels
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines
- Knowledge or expertise in raw materials, mining, innovation, sustainability or related sectors is a strong advantage
Availability for calls and collaboration during European business hours
Evaluation Criteria
- Relevant professional experience – demonstrated experience.
- Quality of portfolio – quality, creativity, clarity and effectiveness.
- Understanding of the subject matter – knowledge or experience in raw materials, mining, innovation, sustainability or related sectors will be considered an advantage.
- Writing and communication skills – excellent written English and ability to communicate complex topics clearly and engagingly.
- Adaptability – ability to tailor content to different audiences, formats and communication channels.
- Availability and responsiveness – ability to work to agreed deadlines and participate in calls and collaboration during European business hours.
Hourly rate – competitiveness and overall value for money.

- Publishing the RFP on the EIT RawMaterials website: Monday, 07.09.2026, 9 AM CET
- Deadline for requesting clarification: Friday, 18.09.2026, 9 AM CET
- Deadline for submitting proposals: Friday, 25.09.2026, 9 AM CET
- Intended date of notification of award: Monday, 12.10.2026
Intended date of contract signature: Thursday, 15.10.2026
