Invitation to Tender: Outreach Services, and Communications & Marketing Services, for the Further Implementation of the Girls Go STEM Project

EIT RawMaterials GmbH invites qualified organisations to submit tenders for the further implementation of the Girls Go STEM Project, covering two distinct lots: school outreach and learning support, as well as communication and marketing activities. 

The project supports girls and young women across Europe in developing skills and interest in STEM fields. The tender is conducted as an open procurement procedure in accordance with German and EU public procurement law. 

About EIT RawMaterials 

EIT RawMaterials, is a Knowledge & Innovation Community (KIC), created by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), aimed at promoting innovation in the raw materials sector across Europe. Established in 2015, EIT RawMaterials works to secure the sustainable supply of raw materials to the European industry by driving innovation, education, and entrepreneurship along the entire raw materials value chain. 

About the Girls Go STEM Project 

The Girls Go STEM Initiative, formerly the Girls Go Circular initiative, is led and coordinated by EIT RawMaterials with six other EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs): EIT Health, EIT Food, EIT Urban Mobility, EIT Culture & Creativity, Climate KIC, and 28 Digital. The initiative aims to close the gender gap in STEM by training 14-19-year-old girls via a learning programme available on the Circular Learning Space platform, and inspiring them to pursue STEM higher education and careers.

Scope of Services 

The contract is divided into two distinct lots targeting different types of organisations: Lot 1 for outreach and learning support providers, and lot 2 for communications and marketing agencies. Bidders may apply for one or both lots, subject to the conditions described in the tender documents. 

 

Lot 1: Outreach and Learning Support in Secondary Schools 

 

Recruit secondary school teachers and students from all countries covered by the relevant regional lot and support schoolteachers in delivering the Girls Go STEM programme (5–7 hours of classroom-based learning) to girls aged 14–19. 

 

Regional Lots under Lot 1 

Lot 1 is subdivided into regional lots to reflect the project’s geographical scope: 

  • Western Balkans: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, Kosovo, Albania 
  • Central-Eastern Europe: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia 
  • Baltic & Nordic: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Denmark, Finland, Sweden 
  • Western Europe: Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, The Netherlands 
  • Southern Europe / Mediterranean: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Turkey 
  • Eastern Partnership: Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova 

For Lot 1, the award of contract is limited to a maximum of two regional lots per tenderer. 

 

Lot 2: Communications and Marketing 


The selected agency will strengthen Girls Go STEM's brand awareness, drive engagement with students and teachers, and ensure consistent, high-quality visibility across digital channels. Services cover strategic communications, including brand positioning and updated brand guidelines, content and asset production, digital marketing, social media management, website content management, and end-to-end event communications support including on-site content capture at the annual event. 

 

Who Should Apply 

This invitation is open to qualified economic operators with proven experience relevant to the respective lot(s). 

Depending on the lot applied for, this may include organisations active in educational delivery and outreach, or communication and marketing services.

How to Apply 

Interested organisations are requested to prepare and submit their tenders in accordance with the procurement documents available on the German Procurement Portal / Deutsches Vergabeportal (DTVP). 

Tenders must be submitted electronically via the platform. Only complete and timely submissions will be considered.
