Overview of EIT RawMaterials

EIT RawMaterials is a ‘Knowledge and Innovation Communities’ (KICs) created by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), aimed at promoting innovation in the raw materials sector across Europe. Established in 2015, EIT RawMaterials works to secure the sustainable supply of raw materials to the European industry by driving innovation, education, and entrepreneurship along the entire raw materials value chain. We are a knowledge-driven business and a catalyst for industrial progress. Our offerings leverage our expertise and that of our network – the world's largest network in the raw [and advanced] materials sector – which includes companies at every stage of evolution, from start-ups to market leaders, along with leading international universities, research organisations, and top experts and future talent from the sector. Our activities span from mining and mineral processing to material recycling and substitution, focusing on increasing resource efficiency and fostering a circular economy.

Scope of Work

General Objectives

Accelerate the Hiring Process

Facilitate the efficient and timely recruitment of candidates for critical and specialized roles, 4–5 anticipated positions in 2025.

Access Specialized Talent Pools

Leverage the agency’s networks and expertise to reach highly qualified candidates who are not easily accessible through traditional sourcing methods.

Ensure High-Quality Candidate Shortlists

Present only pre-screened, well-qualified candidates that meet the role-specific requirements, reducing time spent on unproductive interviews.

Enable Internal Focus

Reduce the workload on internal HR and hiring teams, allowing them to concentrate on core responsibilities and strategic HR activities.

Detailed Scope of Work

Role Briefing and Profile Development

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand each role’s specific requirements, including responsibilities, qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Develop and finalize candidate profiles and job descriptions, incorporating any compliance or DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) guidelines.

Sourcing and Talent Outreach

  • Conduct targeted searches using the agency’s proprietary databases, networks, job platforms, and industry-specific channels.
  • Actively engage passive candidates with relevant backgrounds.

Candidate Screening and Shortlisting

  • Perform first-round screening interviews to assess experience, qualifications, motivation, availability, and salary expectations.
  • Provide shortlists of 3–5 top candidates per role, along with CVs and screening notes.

Coordination and Communication Support

  • Arrange interviews between shortlisted candidates and internal teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with both candidates and client-side stakeholders throughout the process.

Feedback and Candidate Management

  • Collect and consolidate feedback post-interviews.
  • Communicate outcomes to candidates, ensuring a professional and positive candidate experience throughout.

Compliance and Confidentiality

  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with applicable labor laws, data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR), and company confidentiality standards.

Reporting and Performance Tracking

  • Provide regular status updates, including metrics such as number of candidates sourced, interviews scheduled, and time-to-fill.
  • Support evaluation of recruitment process effectiveness upon completion of assignments.

Timeline

  • Publishing the RFP on EIT RawMaterials website: 18 August
  • Deadline for requesting clarification from EIT RawMaterials: 25 August
  • Deadline for submitting proposals: 30 October
  • Intended date of notification of award: 15 November
  • Intended date of contract signature by 20 November
