Study on Opportunities for South Africa to develop a battery value chain in collaboration with European industry players
EIT RawMaterials is looking for consulting services for the Critical Raw Materials Facility (CRM-F) to conduct a study on Opportunities for South Africa to develop a battery value chain in collaboration with European industry players.
About the CRM Facility
The Critical Raw Materials CRM Facility (CRM-F, the project) was initiated in October 2022 in response to the 4th benchmark of the CRM Act (focused on diversifying the raw materials supply). As such, the key objectives of the projects are to i) connect CRM value-chains between CR operations in the partner countries and the EU, and ii) promote the development of mid- and downstream processing within the CRM space in the partner countries.
The CRM-F is implemented by both EIT RawMaterials and EIT InnoEnergy, with the European Commission, through DG-INTPA, overseeing the Facility.
