Ulix Innovation aims to develop, manufacture and commercialise graphene-based battery pack (G-pack) for domestic energy supply and mobility markets. Compared to common Lithium-Ion batteries, the G-pack offers better performance in terms of energy density, power density, durability and ultimately also lower production costs.


Value Ash Technologies


Separation of fly ash and similar dry powders in 1 to 100 micron ranges

Fly ash is the by-product of combustion of coal. It is the most produced and landfilled waste globally. The novel technological separation solution that Value Ash Technologies NV has developed is the Dusty Plasma Separator (DPS). It can separate fly ash or other dry (waste) powders in ranges of around 1 to 100 micron in 3 to 4 different fractions at once. It does so in a totally closed system. This eliminates the need for expensive filter systems. This also meets occupational health regulations.

VBN Components


3D printed tools/components in highly wear resistant materials

VBN Components AB is a frontline materials company that develops new wear- and heat-resistant metals in near-net-shape. With a patented process, tools and components are manufactured directly from powder, using additive manufacturing (3D-printing). The materials are pore free with a hardness ranging from 55–72 HRC (600-1100 HV) at present. Launched the world’s hardest steel November 2017.

VELAWORKS s.r.o. – Cosmos Fenix


Treatment of hazardous fly ashes from incinerators to obtain a powerful filler for plastics

COSMOS Fenix® is a new patented treatment by VELAWORKS that makes the classification of these ashes as “product” (end of waste) possible and creates an effective alternative to landfill. Furthermore, the new powder can be used in polymers as filler and flammability tests have proved that COSMOS Fenix® is a tangible replacement of expensive Brominates and Antimony (Sb) few of them classified as toxic and/or carcinogenic for man and wildlife.

Zero Parallax Virtual Reality (VR) camera and lens technology has the capacity to provide real time “eyes” for remote operated machinery in a form of seamless, measurable, high quality spherical video. Proprietary Zero Parallax camera lens allows to achieve wide field of view of remote locations to provide the operator with situational awareness of the site for efficient task performance and situation assessment.
