Project duration: 1 January 2018 – 31 March 2021
MaMMa focuses on the development of a combined cyber-physical software system to improve whole mine maintenance by collecting and processing machine & infrastructure data to present analyzed conditions in a structured and clear way.
Mine operators require operational availability, efficiency and the safety of the machines, mine workings and employees. This can be achieved with good maintenance.
In addition, machine producers are requesting real load data to optimize their machine construction. Consulting and engineering companies typically request data for process optimization and incident management, too. To offer their services effectively, optimization consultants (e.g. for maintenance and processes, etc.) tend to look for simple access to wear & tear data; such data is provided by the proposed MaMMa system.
The solution (technology)
This new product will lead to cost-saving extended maintenance intervals and increased operational availability. Dependencies will be pointed out and could be handled to improve the production.
MaMMa allows the employees and consultants of a mine to design better, more efficient machine and infrastructure maintenance plans for mines depending on the real-time results of the operational wear & tear status. These designs of machine and infrastructure maintenance schedules are often designed, verified and optimized by professional training schools, technical research institutes at Universities (Educational Component).
The real-time maintenance data supplied by MaMMa would allow shorter response times to required modifications during mining operations, and constant testing, verification, and optimization of these maintenance plans in a safer environment.
