01 April 2017 – 31 March 2020

Objective

Based on the result of Gateway-1 project developed in 2016 which created an interactive map of mining projects in emerging and developing countries, the Gateway-2 project aims at facilitating new collaborative projects of EIT RM partners in developing countries and supporting international business development as well as enhancing local capacity building with education and research activities in those countries. The project addresses all value chain themes and will be focused on in Latin American and African regions. By integrating business development activities into existing education, research projects and networks, we aim at forming new approaches to support sustainable business development in developing countries.

The solution (technology)

The solution is based on the formerly developed interactive map which will be further enriched with a series of upcoming organized events in the focused countries. We will actively contact the local stakeholders for potential collaboration and organize partnering opportunities to be promoted among the EIT RawMaterials partners.
