On 29 September 2021, the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) programme will host an online webinar on ETV’s potential to help innovators, investors, and buyers improve their confidence in new environmental technologies through verification.

Entitled ‘Build competitive advantage for your green innovation with EU ETV’, the event will take place from 10:00 to 12:00 CEST. During the 2-hour webinar, you will learn how the EU ETV process works, how ETV supports EU and national-level policy, and be presented with a variety of case studies that showcase the benefits of EU ETV. The full webinar programme will be published in the coming weeks.

Whether you are already involved in the ETV scheme, are interested in what the programme could do for your own company and technologies, or are looking for ways to minimise risk in buying and procurement of innovative environmental technologies, a range of speakers from both the public and private sectors will take you through the process of ETV and explain how ETV can help you gain credibility, confidence and reliability in environmental technologies. Through European and national perspectives, you will hear speakers share their experiences detailing how ETV can reduce risk in purchasing decisions, leverage your R&D to bring new technologies to market, and support policy goals in addressing environmental challenges.

Building on a successful pilot programme, ETV offers confidence and reliability based on competence and third-party performance attestation to minimize the risks in using innovative technologies for investors and buyers. ETV supports implementation of the EU Green Deal and other environmental policies by addressing the innovation challenge of sustainable transitions.

The event is open to technology developers, public and private sector buyers, testing bodies, and policymakers at both the EU and national level working with environmental technologies. There will be speakers from the European Commission, European Institute for Technology, LIFEproETV project as well as developers and buyers of environmental technologies who have participated in the programme.
