This expert webinar will explore Australia and the EU’s shared regulatory/market/financing and security challenges with regard to raw materials. It will highlight the key role played by critical minerals in the transition towards a low carbon economy in the EU and Australia. Furthermore, it will showcase how Australia has the potential to be a natural partner for European policy, standard-setting and investment in raw materials value chains, due to its resource endowment and sustainability credentials.

  • Short introduction by Australian Ambassador Justin Brown (2 minutes)
  • Four pre-selected questions asked by the moderator to four panellists (45 minutes)
  • Questions from the audience (monitored and selected by the Embassy staff 18 minutes)
