EIT RawMaterials is arranging a workshop focused on identifying and discussing ideas for future EIT RawMaterials projects with the theme of ‘Mineral Exploration & Resource Assessments’. The EIT RawMaterials Workshop II will be held on Friday, 27 January 2017, in Copenhagen, Denmark, at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland.

An informal workshop dinner on Thursday, 26 January, as well as facilities/meeting rooms available for EIT RawMaterials partners for project and proposal meetings are also part of the programme.

Please click here to see the preliminary programme for the workshop.

Please use this link for registration – EIT RawMaterials Workshop on Exploration – here you will also be able to register for the informal dinner, and you will find a list of suggested hotels and the final programme for the workshop when it is released.

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss and identify how EIT RawMaterials can help and support the exploration industry in Europe (… and worldwide) – both with knowledge- and technology-based R&D projects as well as education (higher education, professional Lifelong Learning and Wider Society Learning/activities).

Partners of the EIT RawMaterials, as well as some external stakeholders, that are active within exploration/mining will use the workshop for inspiration and for discussions/developments of ideas for project proposals within mineral exploration. So please join a full day of inspiration, networking and idea generation within the theme of Exploration!

The background for the workshop is, that EIT RawMaterials in end of March has a Call for EIT RawMaterials Upscaling and Education activities (KAVA Call no. 4)

Below are instructions on the ‘Pitching Session’ that will be part of the program for the workshop – in which participants in the workshop are able to pitch ideas and seek collaborators on the projects.

Each pitch will have 5 minutes only! and a maximum of 3 slides; the five minutes include 3 minutes for pitching and 2 minutes for questions. Pitches should be made in the pitch template and should contain the information indicated by heading in this template. Please click here to download the pitch template

Pitches – as PowerPoint files – should, together with stating the name of a presenter and a title of the pitch, be sent to Thematic Officer, Bo Stensgaardno later than Wednesday, 25 January 2017.

Please present ideas on project ideas within the theme of Exploration; both for the upcoming KAVA Call no. 4 – as well for a future Call or for inspiration/idea developments.
