Circular Economy, a new path for innovation
21 March 2017
On 21 March in Mechelen, Belgium, EIT RawMaterials will attend and give a presentation at this full day seminar, organised by IE-Net. The seminar will explore the potential of circular models in our economy. First, the framework is elaborated that Europe and national authorities are creating to promote the circular economy. This will be followed by concrete examples illustrating how such circular economy concepts are pioneered and implemented and how they can offer business opportunities. Furthermore, the strategies of cities and the Port of Antwerp with respect to the circular economy are addressed. The further realization of practical, pioneering examples will be demonstrated through vital platforms and political support which can support circular economy implementation in your company with the support of new partnerships. In the afternoon, the focus will be on cases and challenges from different industrial sectors.
IE-Net is the professional association of Flemish engineers. This seminar is primarily targeting technologists involved with, or want to further explore circular economy strategies. However, due to the diversity of the selected topics and broad impact of the circular economy, this seminar is suitable for a broader, larger audience including stakeholders from government, business and civil society.
