WHAT

This year’s edition of the flagship raw materials event in the Adria region will focus on the transfer of knowledge and best practices on the topic of Social License to Operate in the raw materials sector. Together with specific legislative challenges, the acquisition of the Social License to Operate represents one of the major obstacles for the exploration, mining industry in Europe, and successful implementation of a circular economy, all strongly supporting the European industry competitiveness on a global scale. Legislative framework and challenges in the ADRIA countries will be presented by the country-specific cases with the highlight of lessons learned during their implementation. Representatives of exploration, mining, and recycling companies from Adria countries and beyond will share their experiences on the topic.

Invited speakers and participants of the ADRIA Innovation Day 2021 are policy/decision-makers, researchers, academics, experts from exploration, mining, and recycling companies, and business support organizations from Slovenia, Croatia, other countries in the region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia) and other European countries.
