6th Greek Raw Materials Community Dialogue
7 - 8 December 2021
The Greek Raw Materials Community Dialogue is an established annual event since 2016 and aims to bring together the industry (large and SME), the governance (national and regional), academia and research institutes of Greece along with executive European organisations of the Raw Materials sector as members of the EIT RawMaterials Community to discuss over the current state in the Greek and EU raw materials sector, address the Knowledge Triangle (academia, research, industry) in political level, present tools and initiatives in EU and Greece that act as facilitators for the sector and examine the innovation needs of the Knowledge Triangle.
Following this tradition, the sixth edition of the event focuses on an issue that for more than three decades has been a key attribute of good industrial practice in various sectors and more pronounced in the extractive sector, namely the Social License to Operate. The event aims to provide grounds for an open and fruitful dialogue that will approach the significance of this issue in the European context. Towards this direction the discussions will be deployed under three thematic pillars namely:
- Responsible Mining & Social Acceptance: A dialogue on policy aspects
- Building Trust with Society: A dialogue through Research and Education
- Achieving Social Acceptance in European and Greek RM Ecosystem: A dialogue on best practices
Looking forward to welcoming you online!
Please register by 6 December 2021 here. The event will be held in English.
