INNOMAT: the course to make your business more resilient to risks in materials supply

Problems in the supply of raw materials and price fluctuations are difficult for companies, and especially SMEs, to control, and it is expected that this will increase in the future. Already in the eco-design requirements for servers (2019/424) circuital raw materials are an important part. Moreover, society is under increasing pressure to produce with less environmental pressure. This course helps professionals to gain more knowledge in this matter, and to identify the problems and make plans.

This course is developed by the Wuppertal Institute (Germany), University of Ghent (Belgium), Grenoble SCOP (France), ZAG (Slovenia) and the Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands). Experienced consultants trained by these institutes guide you through the course, answer your questions and are your sparring partner for all kinds of ideas.

The course will train professionals to:

  • Make a basic LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) and critical raw materials analysis as part of the future for business and environment
  • Use calculation methods and tools for an LCA
  • Analyse short term and long term risks of critical raw materials in relation to future business risks
  • Use the Business Model Canvas, and determine the business consequences
