Five new projects selected for funding in RawMatCop 2018-2020 Programme

The RawMATCop Programme 2018-2020 1st Call for Applications for Post-doctoral research scholarship Projects & Academic Placements to Industry/Authorities, which closed on 25 July 2018, generated significant interest from academic, research and industrial partners within the EIT RawMaterials community. Applications were submitted from EIT RawMaterials consortium partners in 6 different countries and 4 of our innovation hub regions and covered all three research and application areas listed in the call.

The applications were evaluated by a panel of three external subject-matter experts based on award criteria for excellence, impact and quality and efficiency of implementation. The external evaluators praised the quality of the project proposals, which was high across the board, with some highly-relevant and exciting proposals representing new applications for Copernicus data and services for the raw materials sector.

In total, five proposals were selected for funding from the Call – three post-doctoral research scholarship projects and two academic placements in Industry/Public Authority. The projects selected for funding covered all three research and application areas of the raw materials sector. They include three projects that build on RawMATCop projects from 2017.
