Olli Salmi, CLC Baltic Sea General Manager of EIT RawMaterials, gave a presentation on the EIT RawMaterials organisation and the circular economy.

EIT RawMaterials also had a booth at the event, which gathered hundreds of participants from Finland and elsewhere in Europe and was co-organised by DIMECC, one of the EIT RawMaterials partners.

The theme of the event was “Towards Outcome Economy”, and it featured high-profile plenary speakers from big companies such as Daimler AG, Mercedes-Benz Vans, Rolls-Royce Marine, Valmet Automotive, Kone Corp., Tieto Corp., Siemens, Dassault Systemes etc. Concepts discussed at the conference include Industry 4.0, IoT, artificial intelligence and digitalisation.

Other EIT RawMaterials partners in attendance included VTT, Aalto University, Metso Minerals and Mondragon who had the booth at the event. Sandvik Mining and Construction and EIT RawMaterials Booster Call grantee 2016, Process Genius were also present at the event.

The EIT RawMaterials staff enjoyed a successful event, recruiting several leads for potential partners and project participants, and we are looking forward to the next Manufacturing Performance Days in 2019.
