Label Student Board meeting in Berlin brought together the newly elected Board members and kicked-off two key upcoming initiatives

EIT RawMaterials EIT-Labelled Master programmes, a segment of the EIT RawMaterials Academy portfolio, offer six unique Master programmes that enable students the opportunity to study at several centres of excellence throughout Europe. These innovative approaches offer students industry-focused programmes which enable collaboration with top specialists from academia, research and industry and demonstrate how their disciplinary knowledge can be applied to pressing societal challenges.

There are currently 128 students from all over the world enrolled in the EIT RawMaterials EIT-Labelled Master Programmes. The Label Student Board (LSB) has been established in response to this growing community and to further deepen the student educational experiences as well as provide the EIT-Label students with a platform to interact directly with the RawMaterials Academy. Each EIT-Labelled programme nominated and elected their LSB representative to introduce their programme and peers in the Label Student Board.

On 27-28 April 2019, the Label Student Board Kick-Off meeting in Berlin brought together the newly elected Board members to meet in person, learn more about individual EIT Label Master Programmes and open up a discussion about the two key initiatives the Label Student Board will organise over the next year – Label-StartUP! and Label-Launch!

Label-StartUP!: Informal weekend away for 50 students from the six Labelled Master programmes to learn about entrepreneurship, setting up a start-up and meeting the founders of several EIT RawMaterials supported start-ups and SMEs.

Label-Launch!: Will bring together all students from the six Labelled Master programmes for a graduation ceremony and career opportunity events, organised in 2020.

Additionally, the Label Student Board members selected their role in the LSB, agreed on the next set of virtual meeting dates as well as the second Label Student Board meeting which will take place on 12-14 July 2019 in Barcelona to further plan Label-StartUP!
