Improve your organisation’s entrepreneurial and innovation capacity

The EIT’s HEI Initiative aims to support higher education institutions with expertise and coaching, providing them with the access to the EIT innovation ecosystem and funds. Moreover, higher education institutions have the opportunity to develop innovation action plans which do match their needs.

Enabling universities to teach innovation and entrepreneurship is a matter of primary importance both to build the future European professionals that will lead innovation technologies in the next decades and to reach the objectives of the EIT Strategic Innovation Agenda 2021−2027.

The EIT’s HEI Initiative supports this through its organisation of annual calls for proposals and inviting European higher education institutions to participate in order to improve their entrepreneurial and innovation capacity across all institutional levels.

On 18 November, the EIT’s HEI Initiative launched its second call for proposals – EIT HEI Call 2. Through this call, the initiative aims to help higher education institutions (HEIs) to design activities that will improve their entrepreneurial and innovation capacity.

Consortia of eligible HEIs are invited to apply and take this opportunity to unlock their potential for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Applicants’ activities can focus on several themes:

  • Fostering institutional engagement and change;
  • Strengthening partnerships;
  • Developing innovation and businesses;
  • Enhancing the quality of entrepreneurial education;
  • Creating and disseminating knowledge.

Application deadline for the EIT HEI Call 2 is 28 February 2022.
